Jane F. Hamilton, PhD

After completing her Ph.D. in Psychology from Boston College, Jane completed a year’s clinical internship at Boston Childrens’ Hospital. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Education from Harvard and Bachelor’s Degree from Kirkland College. She has an active clinical practice in Psychology in Tucson and has been a consultant for programs for at risk youth.

She is certified in clinical hypnosis as well as equine-assisted therapy. She has been a first grade teacher, a Principle Psychologist at a state institution, and an advisor to a national organization for at-risk adolescents.

She has served on the board of directors of various community agencies serving the needs of families, women, children, and the arts including the Southern Arizona Psychological Association and the Certification Board for Equine Interaction Professionals and SAWC.

Throughout high school and college, Jane studied vocal music and singing. She has been a singer and soloist with the premiere women’s choir in Tucson, the  Arizona Women’s Chorus since 1996.

Dr. Hamilton has given numerous presentations and lectures to both professional and lay audiences. A few of her speaking venues include Canyon Ranch, the University of Arizona, the Parliament of Ireland, Columbia University and Bravehearts.
